Targeted Local Mission Giving

In July, our church was challenged with the mission of providing at least 14 back backs for  grade children in need in alocal school.  With attendance running between 12 and 20 weekly it seemed a big challenge but we did it with some materials left over.  We are a church who is very serious about fully paying apportionments and supporting denominational mission challenges, we have been finding that the most generous responses come when the challenges are local and targeted.  We have very limited facilities for programs and such and our location is very out of the way, but we've proved again and again you really only need a heart to serve and  Christ's blessing on your few loaves and fishes to make an impact for good on the lives of our neighbors.
