Dinner for local food pantry

We prepared and delivered 102 dinners to our local food pantry. Along with the dinners, tomato and pepper plants were given to anyone who wanted them. We started this last year, encouraging people to plant gardens or plant in containers. This way they have fresh vegtables on hand.

In years past we had collected money, "Easter Caring", and would purchase Easter Lilies for the Altar and have them in memory or honor of people. An idea was presented about still collecting money but purchasing vegetable plants and have them distributed to the folks who utilize the food panty. Those who give can still request they be in memory or honor of people. We still have 1 or 2 lilies on the Altar but no longer have to wonder what to do with several flowers after a few weeks.

The vegetable plants have been well received!!!
