Wonderful service on July 19th - youth got up and went to altar on their own without an invitation.  There were many tears flowing and the church gathered around them and prayed.  One young lady  in particular feeling a strong call to mission work!  A Lay Servant was prayed for at the altar as she has received a call to ministry!

Thanks for the reply. What a blessing to be in this rich system of supportive intergenerational relationships. I love it!

We have a great team of youth directors. They are intent on helping to make disciples of our youth. They are active in missions, and I try to be a part of their activities as much as possible. We ask our youth to sit in the front pews. It keeps them in front of me, and I often speak to them in my messages. We worked at getting them grants for two years to help them do even more. We include them in our adult ministries as well. Our adult ministries like our men's group helps to support the youth, likewise our women's' group. In return, our youth serve them a meal once a year in appreciation for their support. This year, we are teaching a church wide study on "Peacemakers." There is always conflict in a church, and we decided if we begin to train them now how to communicate and conflict in healthy ways, the church will be healthier when they become leaders. Our directors are revamping the book to bring it to youth level. Thank you for asking!

It sounds like your youth must be deeply in touch with the love of God, and must experience this in their hearts. How have you helped to foster this?
