Being welcoming to children

Bond UMC, "The Little Church by the Side of the Road", has embraced the Jesus-based philosophy of "let the little ones come unto Me (Jesus, of course)."  Early in the summer, average worship attendance was reported to have been in the lower teens, with no, or practically no, kids or youth. No kids groups or youth groups or activities.

Since, Worship attendance has not been meteoric or sporadic. Rather, growth has been steady. This Sunday, 51 eager Christians and seekers came to worship our loving Lord. Glory to God! Children's Church head count - 13 plus their leader. Folks are returning and bringing their little ones! New faces, also many bringing more little ones. Some are bringing snacks (yes, gotta feed the little ones!) and craft supplies (yes, little hands need to be active").  Children's Church filled the aisle and then overflowed the kids craft table. Gonna have to get another table! Hallelujah!

Folk are beginning to bring some little ones to Wednesday Night Bible Study and Prayer Adult Small Group. Voila! Another new small group has sprung up - Wednesday Kid's Fun Night! Play Dough & other fun stuff, with Jesus mixed in for the kids.
