Tenth Street UMC Hosts Laity, UMW and Heritage Sunday

On Sunday, November 15, Tenth Street hosted a service combining the emphases of Laity, UMW and Heritage Sunday. Lay members of the congregation led in the different parts of the service. Rev. Laraine Waughtal, CTC Disaster Relief Coordinator, was our guest speaker and brought an inspiring message.

On Tuesday evening, November 17, the UMCOR case managers who are housed in our building distributed Thanksgiving dinners to 53 of the client families they are assisting with flood relief. The Thanksgiving meals were donated by FUMC Round Rock.  The ladies Sunday School class from Taylor FUMC helped to distribute the meals. Members of Tenth Street's congregation also assisted. We were happy to make our education building available for this endeavor. It continues to be a blessing to our congregation to have the UMCOR case managers working out of our building.
