Home Coming parade and Free Water

In our small town, High School football is a big deal. The Home Coming Parade was last week. It not only features the high school football team, it also features teams of every fall sport and student club. It's basically the whole community rallying around their kids. It is always packed and probably the largest parade of the year. Our church is downtown right on the parade route. So we chilled several hundred water bottles and labeled them with a message telling them how God's love is always available to them and it is free gift from God. This water was our free gift to them as a reminder of God's love. Then we had our church info and invited them to worship. People were not only thankful for the water, they were reading the labels and telling us "Thank you!"
