Saying thanks to the firefighters

This past Saturday night, the Bethlehem UMC, Fishers congregation held a chili potluck for a time of fellowship.  Our local firefighters were invited (ahead of time to attend) as a way to say thank you to them for their service to our community.  The entire shift came for the dinner, visiting with members of the congregation and enjoying the meal.  They also brought their 2 firetrucks for the children (and adults!) to see.  It was a wonderful moment of the congregation reaching outside of their building to show thanks and appreciation to those who are ever at the ready in the event of an emergency.  We hope to do more outreach with future meals now.
