Youthful Energy

Our church has been energized by the growth in young families in the last 2 months.  We have had a new young couple or family start attending the church about every couple weeks since Easter.  Now many of them are expressing a desire to join the church.  This culminated last Sunday on Pentecost when a new family with 5 children attended.  They stayed for the picnic and spent an hour talking with the Pastor about their story and desire to join the church.  We are already beginning to look at fall Sunday school needs as we began last fall with 5 kids and now have 16.  Our church is ecstatic over the sounds of 2 crying babies and kids running through the church again!  We are excited for the future.  The energy and positive leadership Pastor Joe has brought to our church is such a turnaround from a couple years ago when we feared possibly closing the church.  We know the work is not done but this influx of youth in our church has reenergized us!
