Our congregation has been focused heavily on outreach lately; from our neighborhood block party to VBS, Butterfly Club to dinners and fundraisers, everything is designed to make new people feel welcome! We are working on cosmetic things such as new signage that help visitors find their way around and a disaster response plan that ensures better safety of our congregation.

Taft, California UMC had an outstanding ministry for our community Back to School Event, helping over 56 families. We provided clothing through our Freely Given Clothing Ministry and teamed up with local orgs for a fantastic BTS event, providing backpacks and school supplies. Salvation Army and Methodist church also provided food boxed for 42 families in the month of August. things are happening at TUMC to the Glory of God!!
