Table at Seton Hall University's Fall Involvement Fair

Our Vitality II Team's outreach to the community resulted in our church having a table at Seton Hall University's Fall Involvement Fair.  The "fair"  was held the first week of classes.  Its purpose was to introduce students to the plethora of on-campus and off-campus volunteer and part-time employment opportunites . We were there to let students know they are welcome to participate in the life of our faith community.  Along with some religious-themed tchotchkes (pencils and stress balls), we handed out: (1) a brochure telling them about our church and how we experience God in our lives and share God's generosity with others, (2) a card highlighting where we could make use of their volunteerism, and (3) a "Prayer Request" card.  Through our interactions with the students, God let us know He wanted us there. One yound lady told us, "My mom will be so happy to know someone other than she is praying for me!"  Four students that we met at the Fair came to Sunday's worship service.
