Summer

From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day weekend, our congregation experiences a seasonal/traditional change.  Even though we are only two miles from the Atlantic Ocean, our community is "off-island" with no direct beach access.  Many church members/attendees work 5-7 days-a-week during this time.  For some, this is their key (only?) employment for the entire year.  Hence, both attendance and offerings usually drop.

On the postive side, the church members/attendees are God's witnesses in the Jersey Shore communities where they work.
