Vacation Bible School for the community was hosted at the 1st United Methodist Church. Other churches involved were St. Paul Lutheran and Calvary Lutheran. Each day brought from 90 to 93 children here to learn about the love of God through the Bible story, music, arts and crafts, games and snack. The mission project was to raise funds to dig fresh water wells in Peru, South American. Between $500 and $600 was raised during the five days of VBS. Nineteen teeagers and 18 adults were on staff. The Sunday worship service was led by the youth through scripture, music and videos. Indeed VBS week is a highlight in the life of the churches of Osceola, Nebraska.
