Pastoral Transition

Leonia Church is experiencing pastoral transition in our associate pastor position. This is a new position to us that we have enjoyed for the past 2 years at half time. Our current associate pastor has been appointed to a new full-time charge of his own and will leave us on June 30. A new associate pastor will join us on July 1. At the urging of our district superintendent, we have increased the position to 3/4 time. We have been appointed a very promising and talented and very young new associate. The transition has required a lot of our staff's attention, and the congregation is thinking toward the future. This may be a distracting factor for ministry here and now.
