Factors affecting our ministry

Good morning the factors affecting our ministry are as follows:

A Few of our Ad Council and Committee Members are unaware of the responsibilities attached to their roles.

All SPPRC Members are unaware of their responsibilities.

Because of illnesses and deaths of our precious members, we face financial difficulties (in part).

We face financial difficulties in part, do to neglect on the part of our Trustees.

Our Treasurer has fulfilled many of the roles of other committee members, and as a result has been unable, until just recently to focus solely on her role; and this has posed problems in other areas of handling finances.

Steps we are taking: Pastor has requested a SPPRC Training and Paul Arnold was gracious to provide that training, however only 3 of our SPPRC members came.

Pastor contacted the UMC Foundation, invited their representative to come and speak with our Ad Council Members (who were able to attend) to help us with brain storming options for financial assistance without taking on another loan; regarding a loan garnered in 2009, and we are in discussions about pausing payment, as not to take on any more financial burden and the funds will be used to complete removal of environmental sources that have and do pose a health hazard.

Pastor has requested the president of the UMC Foundation to come and speak about stewardship and she will be coming the 4th Sunday in June.

Pastor was put in contact with a generous donor, who has communicated his desire to financially bless our church on behalf of one of our recently deceased members. Those funds will be used for environmental issues and operating budget.

Pastor was informed that we may not be able to pay salaries as of July 2018. I am waiting to talk with our District Rep: Asst. Conference Superintendent.
