We had a very special service this past Sunday. Our pastor was sick and our Youth Leader led the service for her. He gave a wonderful testimony about how we often say we will pray for someone just to make them feel good rather than truly meaning we would pray for them. He told of a genteleman at his school that gave his life to Christ during the school day with several teachers and students joining in on the prayers. This made us think about our own lives and how do we witness, how do we pray. We then had a communion service.
Our church was blessed with serving 12 families at the food pantry this week in spite of terrible weather and several workers being out with the flu.
We also were blessed to sponsor the Red Cross Blood Mobile at which several of our members provide the food, drinks and volunteer services.
We see God's presence in so many of these outreach programs.
