Busy Times!

This past weekend we presented a "Journey to Bethlehem" experience to our community. This event was held Friday, December 15 & Saturday, December 16 from 5:30 - 8:00pm each evening. There were an estimated 400 folks who came out to participate in this amazing experience. Live animals were present and included lambs, donkeys and a camel! Each "pilgrimage" lasted approximately 15 minutes. After ending up at the manger, where Mary & Joseph shared the joy of the birth of their son Jesus, participants were invited to our fellowship hall for cookies, hot cocoa, hot cider and Santa! Santa and his helpers followed through with the story of Jesus birth and then took requests from the children.

On Sunday, our children presented their christmas pageant titled, "Angels, Lambs, Ladybugs & Fireflys". A main portion of the children involved in this production also participate in our AWANA program which takes place each Wednesday night. We had a total of 35 children involved in this year's program.

On Tuesday evenings, our men and women meet for Bible studies. There has been an average attendance of 25 for these studies. A meal is served prior to the study.

This Tuesday evening, our Church & Society Committee will be hosting a "Christmas Party" for the residents of the Murray Hill Apartments. The Murray Hill Apartments provide senior living for low income individuals. Our Church & Society Committee hosts a "Birthday Party" there once a month for the residents. Members have donated money toward the purchase of gift cards that will be distributed among the residents. Some of our musically talented members will be providing some Christmas entertainment. Treats and games will be provided by the members of the committee.
