Confirmation Sunday

This is the second year that we have scheduled Confirmation Sunday for the Sunday after Easter. This is traditionally a "low Sunday," attendance-wise. However, these past two years have shown a much higher attendance number. We combine our blended service and late traditional service and strongly encourage all members to attend, to be present for this significant event in the faith life of these young people. This allows us to worship as one congregation, which is important for us to do periodically. We have a luncheon after church for Confirmands, families and any that they choose to invite. This has many benefits: allows us to celebrate with the Confirmands, makes it easy for families to invite extended family/friends and to "host" a meal afterwards, and increases our worship attendance: win, win, win! We had six Confirmands, and 70 people at the luncheon.
