Despite only ten being allowed to attend worship services, we are very busy with ministries. Our kids are such great artist, they were all winners in the Easter Coloring contest. Copies of the pictures were given to every resident in our local nursing facilities. We did a reverse May Day and the kids came to the church lawn and picked up a small gift. Pastor Trish does a revised bulletin every week, these are given to our members in nursing facilities and those that are homebound. Just another way to keep them engaged and connected to the church. One of our members writes a daily devotional and those are emailed. Members without email receive the devotionals by snail mail. We did another free meat distribution. About 80 families in the county received. We also have provided food for the Food Pantry and our members volunteer, on a rotating basis with other churches, to staff the Pantry. Garfield UMC, the smaller of our two-point charge, has a Blessing Box, located outside the church, where members of the community may obtain free food. Pastor Trish has been very creative with Children's messages, sight, and sound. The kids are watching from home; however, their feedback: they feel an important part of the service. Pocket Prayer Clothes have been given to every nursing facility resident. We have started using ZOOM for committee meetings. One of our members, who resides in a nursing facility, gets a DVD of the worship service. She is sharing it with the other residents in her building. We continue to serve God and His people.
