Good Friday Camp

Children between the ages of six and twelve enjoyed a four-hour "Good Friday Camp" within our church building, which allowed the kids to see the events of Holy Week through the eyes of the disciples.  The theme for the camp was "Easter Surprise", and every time the story line took an unexpected twist or turn, the narrator exclaimed, "Just when you think you know what's going on..." the kids gleefully shouted, "Surprise!"

Each surprise was followed by discussion and crafts within small groups, and relay games provided physical activity and giggles. Palm waving, table turning, the Last Supper, snacks, lunch, and a silent Cross Walk led up to the discovery of the "Empty Tomb" in the Sanctuary... the best "SurPRISE" of all !!!.
