Art & Music Camp

West Vienna UMC had our second Art and Music Camp from Sunday, June 23 - Wednesday, June 26 with an Open House displaying the projects that the K - 12 grade students made.  We had an awesome time,  Most of the kids from our congregation came with about 12 - 15 new kids.  We give thanks to God for such a wonderful showing.  As always, it takes time to get a new project going and, although we have not discussed it yet, it is this secretaries prayer that we continue to do this type of VBS.  We strongly feel that children do not get enough art and music in school and it is our goal to suppliment the schools curriculum while planting seeds and opening door about God.

Our choir takes the summer off.  This year, like many past years, we have want we call "Special Talent" during service in place of the choir.  Members can sing, share a poem or story.  It is a blessing to have members of the congregation share what is special to them.

We had a super busy month with Family Promise (thanks to all who helped during that time. We had a great week!) , Art & Music Camp, Graduation and New Member Sunday and Father's day.  As a special, non-working fellowship, we shared snacks and a movie for our Fifth Sunday gathering.  Just a time to chill!
