Bethany Birthday on the Front Lawn

We were blessed this Sunday to hold our 113th birthday celebration worship service on the front lawn! It was a new and different worship service and we were so excited to have about 80 people for worship and reflection out front. Our Joyful Noise children's choir played "Happy Birthday" on their brand new hand bells and also sang their favorite song from last month's Vacation Bible School. Several members - both young and old - stood to share thoughts and stories about Bethany's past, present, and future. It was definitely hot outside but our brightly-colored canopies helped, and God blessed the event with some helpful clouds and a breeze. Our luncheon and fellowship after worship was well attended and we were delighted to see some folks who hadn't been with us in church for awhile. God is good and we thank Him so much for holding us through this new experience for our church!
