Active shooter training

We have a regular pastor on the first and third Sunday and are responsible for filling the pulpit the other Sundays. In the past we have had a speaker come to talk to us about how to react to a dangerous intruder. Because it was an afternoon event it was not well attended. We felt the whole congregation needed this information so the church board decided to have a speaker on a Sunday morning. Nodaway county sheriffs  office provided us the name of an excellent speaker,  Michael Logan. He shared information I'm certain most folks weren’t aware of, we are an older congregation.  Our sister church at Wilcox joined us for the service.  Hopefully we will never have to react to an intruder situation but  we are more prepared than we would have been.
