40 Days in the Word campaign begins at LaGrange First UMC

Through the dilligence and prayers of a dedicated team, we kicked off a "40 Days in the Word" campaign on April 14th. 19 brand new small groups with 150+ participating in weekly meetings and studies.

This material, from Saddleback Resources, is excellent entry level material for people who want to "get something out of" the Bible but have never been able to before. It teaches easy-to-follow basics of how to approach Scripture that it may speak to you AND emphasizes applying it right away to your life situation. Even in a week and a half, a number of people are more confident about opening a Bible when it has always been intimidating in the past.

Small groups are meeting for the second time and people are growing closer already.
