God Gives Life

Washington UMC used to be the large church in Natchez. When industry started shutting down, people started moving away, and others transferred to large churches that offerred more programs. For years, Washington has been reduced to a small, faithful congregation. Two years ago, we had a minority person come in by accident to worship, and was made to feel welcome. Now, when she comes to town to visit her sister, she comes to our church. Last year, we had another person come in by accident, and she stayed to join the church, and has been a faithful member ever since. Over the last several weeks, we’ve have seen more people come by looking for a church. Our prayer is that God is not through with us yet, and that God’s church will continue to grow.
