Charge Conference & network training

Wichita Bethany UMC really enjoyed last Sunday's Charge Conference at Mt. Vernon UMC with DS Mitch Reece! All 17 of our members who attended were uplifted by the shared conference experience, which we all felt went very well in the new format. Bethany would love the opportunity to host Charge Conference for our network next year!

In addition, we have a team of 12 ready to attend Chapel Hill UMC's Active Shooter training on Dec. 3rd. Our trustees have put together a great plan to protect our congregation from this type of threat, and we're ready to hear some new/different ideas from this workshop. Later in December we'll be beginning quarterly drills so that our congregation is fully familiar with the new policies; this is a new approach for us, but one that we feel is necessary to protect all members of God's family.

Advent is upon us and we're eagerly anticipating our Youth Christmas Program on Dec. 10th! Our young people and kids' choir will be presenting the Christmas story, and we're so blessed as it's been a few years since we had a big enough group to do these types of projects. God is good!
