St. Luke UMC - Mableton

I have seen God's presence in our congregation as the spirit of togetherness is in full operation within our congregation as well as the spirit of cooperation. I am very thankful for that. This is how I have seen God's presence in our congregation. Our maintenance contractor took sick and was hospitalized. Because he was not able to work he needed financial assistance to buy his medication and the church came to his aid and provided funding for him. One member decided to bake and sell cakes so that the proceeds will help him. It was also brought to our attention that one of our church member's son had an unforeseen situation come up right before the holiday which took all of his funds for Christmas. That family has seven children and another one on the way and the congregation supported that family by having an angel tree to provide gifts and clothes for the children.
