Holy Week

Larned First United Methodist Church celebrated Holy Week with many special events.  We started Palm Sunday with the traditional children's palm parade.  On Wednesday evening there was a family meal followed by the youth presenting the Easter story.  The kids worked so hard preparing for this and it was very inspirational.  On Frday there was a community Good Friday Service.  Seven pastors and lay leaders from various churches in the community preached on the last seven words of Jesus.  As a two point charge the smaller church, Garfield United Methodist, conducted a sunrise service at the Garfield Cemetary on Sunday, the men of the Larned First United Methodist served breakfast which they do every Easter.  This is always a delicious meal.  The kids had an Easter egg hunt just prior to the Worship Service. Concluding Holy Week we experienced the presence of God through the music and message in the Worship Service.
