We are all God's "Tools"

This past Sunday, April 7th a young person in our congregation lite the alter candles for the first time. Pastor Jeff thought he might be just tall enough to start this task and decided to help him learn how by just doing it. He was able to reach the candles with the candle lighter and was successful at getting them lite. When this same  young person came up for young disciples time a bit later, the person giving that message commented that he had "learned something new today." The message being given was about God's tool box and how we are all God's "tools". We each have different jobs to do, and big or small doesn't matter we all have talents and gifts to offer. At the end of service this same young person went forward to put out the alter candles. Again Pastor Jeff helped him with the task and then together they walked down the aisle to put the candle lighter away. When finished, Pastor Jeff came back to the grandmother of the young person and told her what the boy had said when they were putting it away. He looked up at Pastor Jeff and said "Hey, I'm God's tool!"  He gets it.
