Upbeat service

August 30th's service included a little song "I'll Fly Away." The congregation really enjoyed singing that song; I wish you could have heard the joyful noise the congregation was making.  There was such exuberance and happiness in their voices that you really felt like the angels in heaven were singing along with Asbury; certainly, God was smiling. Yes, we are singing.  We do practice social distancing and the other recommended safeguards.  In this pandemic age, we do need a message of hope and a promise that God is  with us and for us; what a glorious happy song--we will "fly" away someday.    So much "gloom" and "doom" permeates this Covid-19 world that we forget the joy we should feel because of our faith.  How is your faith today?  Sunday's service at Asbury inspired us to celebrate life because of what we have to look forward to in the future--eternity with our Lord God.  It was a great service.
