Women's Day Prayer Breakfast

Our church celebrated National Women's Day with a Prayer Breakfast, Saturday, March 9.  By way of a local newspaper and our Facebook page, the public was invited to join us.  Our theme for the day was, "Esther: Woman of Faith, Courage, and Influence".  In addition to enjoying the breakfast the men of the church prepared, we sang praises and prayed for women, our communities, and our nation.  Through a play, discussion groups, and by listening to our guest speaker we learned that, as with Esther, God has a plan for each of us.  We prayed that God gives us the discernment and wisdom to recognize our place in His Kingdom and the couage and strength to use our God-given abilities for the betterment of His Kingdom.  Over 100 people attended or by other means received this blessing.
