Blessing of the Backpacks - modified

The Spirit moved in our congregation during a "blessing of the backpacks." Many of the children we love don't live near us, so we couldn't have a traditional blessings with the children. Instead, we wrote prayers and blessings to all of our children, grandchildren, godchildren, etc. at the altar. We put them in a backpack on the altar and Pastor Tara prayed over it. We will keep the backpack on the altar through Sept 29th to collect all of our blessings and prayers. Even though our children don't live nearby, we were able to send them our blessings and lay lands on a backpack containing our prayers.
