I began my supply preaching appointment on Sunday July 4th, 2021. When I arrived, the church was beginning to see a rise in number since Covid-19 precautions began March 2020. In the two months I have been at Hubbard FUMC, we have restarted communion offerings, began taking volunteers to the Hubbard Food Bank (Wheatley Recreation Center), restarted the nursery program, and began a new Contemporary Worship service that will occur every 5th Sunday Sunday at 6:30 PM. I have also began working with Sunday School teachers and classes for age 4-9 and 10 and older will begin September 12th. We have also seen new guests come with consistency to the service. The church continues to support the programs that existed before: Men's Monthly Prayer Meeting, Soul Feast Bible Study, Quilters for Christ, and Adult Sunday School. The church at Hubbard FUMC is full of dedicated servants who seem excited for this new season.
