Women's History Re-Enactment!

In 1885, the then "Methodist-Episcopal Church" that is now our "Painesville United Methodist Church" was host to a women's rights convention that included speakers Dr. Mary Evans, Helen Gougar, and Susan B. Anthony!  We brought those characters back to life in a dinner & convention re-enactment event on Friday night!  We also had a re-enactment of Rev. Olympia Brown in worship on Sunday; she was the first female minister to be ordained and recognized as a minister in the United States.  It was pretty cool to take our congregation back in time to see and celebrate what women have accomplished - especially over Mother's Day weekend!https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=PainesvilleUMC&set=a.621385996700848
