family of three, including an infant, was left homeless by a fire

Last Wednesday morning a fire took the home of a local family and they lost everything.  Shandaken Memorial already had scheduled a pancake breakfast to benefit the local food pantry.  We quickly decided, with the head of the food pantry, that the breakfast should be a benefit for the family instead.

So we switched gears and spread the word of the change.

As a reult we raised  $1353 and were able to present a check to the family for that amount Saturday afternoon.

God moves in ways we don't always see rigtht away. This breakfast was originally scheduled for the week before and had to be postponed. God put us in the right time & place to make this work.
