Eureka UMC Donates to Needy Families for Christmas

Our church partnered with our local school again this year for something that is very special and important to our church members. The school furnished our church with a list of 5 families that were in great need of assistance to have food to eat over the Christmas holidays. Two families had 7 members each, one family had 5 members, one family had 4 members, and one family had 3 members. We are a small church. We had 21 members (11 families) of our congregation to provide enough food to feed all these families 3 meals per day for the 16 days the students are out of school for the Christmas holidays! (That is a total of 48 meals per family!!!) We also provided the families with gifts for the children, hygiene items, pencils, clothes, etc. These items were delivered to the school on December 17th and the families were very appreciative and grateful for the donations.
