Struggles & Successes

Our reporting and record keeping has been hampered by the untimely resignations of both our church secretary and financial secretary.  Interviews were held last week and someone has been hired to fill the combined position.  Hopefully our next report will be more comlete and accurate.

Oct. 16th was our Celebration Sunday when Pastor Wayne Hedrick highlighted the many accomplishments in ministry & missions and thanked all the volunteers and congregants who made those possible.  Certificates of Award were presented for excellence in evangelism (a bronze award, which was the highest given in our Big Stone Gap District) and a certificate for paying 100% of our apportionments.

Two attendees gave testimonies:  a man had received help with his automobile problems, and a parent of a daycare child gave a touching witness of what our Daycare/Preschool program has meant to their family.
