Community outreach opportunity to grow: Faith in the Valley set up a call bank

For four nights over two weeks Faith in the Valley and our Taft United Methodist Church has partnered to set up a call center to encourage the vote for inspections of the four detention centers in Kern County. Our county has four of the eight state wide detention centers. 

High school age and up are participating in this and getting paid $19.00 an hour for four hours per night. The opportunity for the younger generation to be involved in commuity impactful activity at the level of really making a difference is wonderful to see!
