The mission of Kristos Hands and Feet is to make disciples who make disciples. Everyone can become a disciple maker. And that is just what's happening with one of our newer members.
It started last summer as I was walking the streets in one of the neighborhoods we minister in. This is a regular practice, and I also take people with me to show them how they can do it. On that day last summer I met a man named Jason, a new believer who had some questions. So I began to visit him reguarly, having spiritual conversations, reading the Bible and talking about life.
Last fall, Jason talked to his neighbor Amber about Jesus. She was reluctant at first and put him off, telling him she believed when in reality she had not. But in mid December, she had a personal moment of coming to faith, when she realized he had died for her sins. She prayed for forgiveness and accepted him as Lord and Savior.
Soon Amber began to share Jesus with her family, coworkers and friends. One of those people was her fiancee Jon. And it was Jon who just a few days ago gave his life to Jesus. Praise God!
Other family members and coworkers have been drawn to Amber's faith and are asking her questions about what it means to follow Jesus. A disciple is making disciples! God's kingdom is growing!
