3/27/2020: From Becky R. Thanks for providing an opportunity to stay connected to St. Luke via the video. I had a thought in response to your sermon questions today. There is no need for you to respond, but telling someone else will help me process it. The thing that scared me this week was having a sore throat this weekend. It is better today, and I have neither cough nor fever, but I suddenly had to think about the people I could have infected. I did two house calls this week. Thursday I visited an 81 year old patient who lives with her 96 year old sister. I can wreak havoc pretty easily. The person I hope to be after this is a lot humbler and a little smarter. Health care workers are supposed to be brave and on the front lines. I like feeling brave. But I really need to STOP IT. I need people with good immune systems to do the work, and I need to realize I can do more harm than good, at least until telehealth is set up. Thanks for helping me process that.

From Dawn Gary and Family Thanks for the online sermon. We made cinnamon rolls and listened together after I finished rounds. I am also forwarding the link to my parents as we are no longer allowed to visit them in the assisted living/hospice unit in Yankton, hoping they also still feel connected to the outside world. Have a great week and THANK YOU for your perspective. I also really wondered about all the gun purchases.

From Jo Ann Mathis I am so touched that you found a way to have a church service without us actually being there. I felt as if I were in the congregation listening to the 4 of you. I thought the format and information shared was amazing. I liked the empty donut box. It's a wonderful symbol. Yes, it made me smile. Those donuts were a part of my life from 1974 until 2016. Maybe next week I will have a donut as I join you; or if not a donut, a bagel. I think that your conversations went very smoothly. As you review your video, I don't think you will find any problems in it, even if Chuck thinks there needs to be more entertainment. But I did appreciate the messages and the sense of community that you shared. For me, as someone who no longer lives in Omaha, these weekly messages will be one of the positives that come from the need for isolation. Thank you for all the work that went into using current technology to draw us closer together. I look forward to the next installment of faith learning through technology. All is well with us. Our lives have changed very little except that we don't go out or have family visitors. Our caregivers continue to come on their regular schedules and for that we are indeed grateful. Our retirement community delivers meals, encourages us to stay put, practices all the safety measures that are recommended so we do not need too much else. The view from our windows of the mountains just a bit north of Pikes Peak are lovely.

Most of the communities are viewing the Facebook Live sermon. Its now on You tube and people passing good comments about the sermon. More resources needed to reach out to the children during this time.
