Youth Made a Difference

The weekend of 12/8 and 12/9 was a huge outreach for Youth Group and Sunday School.  Our Youth Group visited three nursing facilities and ministered to the patients there.  Our Sunday School also invited Sunday School families and their extended families to TUMC's spin on a Chirstmas Pageant!  Our fellowship hall was filled with a wax museum theme and included many folks from the Chistmas story including Mary, Joseph, the Kings and Angels, Baby Jesus and more!  Folks pressed a button and our wax museum figures came alive and told their role in the story.  Then youth accepted presents for on behalf of Baby Jesus since it was His birthday party.  Gifts included a clock symbolizing giving God our time.  The gift of a hammer reminded us that Joseph was a carpenter and so many other gifts that truly sent a message home with everyone in attendance.  Everyone sang Happy Birthday Jesus and cake was served with a pot luck dinner.  These events truly helped prepare us for the true meaning of Christmas!
