hot coffee and donuts on a cold Sunday morning

Each week as the congregation and visitors arrive for worship and Sunday School, they are greeted in the Welcome Center by volunteers who open the front doors with a warm smile and "so glad to see you this morning."  One gentleman who has been a member of the church since at least the 1960's comes early to turn up the heat and get the coffee pot brewing. Another family picks up the weekly order of assorted donuts from the local bakery. 

This social time gives members a chance to catchup on the week's news and also in this informal setting, visitors are invited to adult Sunday School Classes and children are escorted to meet their teachers.

On the closed circuit monitor, we can watch as the first service gets underway in the sanctuary. This time of meeting and greeting is fun, easy to do, needs only a few dependable volunteers and really offers United Methodist Hospitality to members and visitors alike.
