Short-term small group studies

At St. Francis UMC, we have been having a series of short-term small-group studies. Growth in the morning study started slow, taking a while to move from four to seven participants, however, participation has been growing slowly but surely as we've moved from one study to the next. Our fourth study was a Lenten study. In the Bible studies, we are relating the scripture to current concepts and people are excited about it. Our youth group also is increasing in size.

At Langley UMC on Monday nights at 6:00 we have a Bible study on book of Revelation. So far, we have six participants from community and church. It is a series of DVDs by Perry Stone. Everyone is welcome. We are hoping the pastors of sister churches will take advantage of this as well. We hope people will come if even for one or two nights. Most of our people are farmers and they come when they can. Those who attend are so excited to see the book come alive with past and current events.
