Worship Praise

    For the last two years, our church has operated a food pantry distribution four Saturday mornings a month to help needy people in our county.  Over that two year period, we have distributed over 200 tons of food to more than 1,400 households - some returning once each month for food assistance.  On Saturday, April 7, we began offering a brief time of worship for food pantry patrons and volunteers prior to the pantry distriubtion opening on Saturday mornings.  On the first Saturday, 75 patrons and volunteers worshiped together starting at 8:35 a.m. at our Covingont location.  On Saturday, April 14, 120 patrons and volunteers worshiped together at our Brighton location.  Participation has been enthusiastic and many patrons have expressed appreciation for this time of singing, prayers, and a brief devotional.  We also ask patrons for their written prayer reuests each week at the food pantry.  Normally 30-50 prayer requests are submitted for our Sunday morning prayer teams to lift up.
