On Saturday, June 22, 110 cyclists took off from Andover UMC for the 5th Annual Bishop's Bicycle Challenge. Riders chose between three routes around Butler County, 100K (62 miles), 50K (35 miles) and 20 miles, all starting and ending at the church. The weather was perfect with little wind and no rain. Over $11,000 was raised from the event to support the ministry of Open Door, a conference-supported mission agency in Wichita. In the five years of the challenge, this year had the most riders. When riders returned to the church they were given with lunch, snacks and chocolate milk (which was very popular!).
