Scout Sunday follow through

On Feburary 10, we celebrated Scout Sunday during worship. The scouts from Pack 554, Troop 554 and Venture Crew 554 participated in the worship service and their families joined the congregation as we worshiped. This following Sunday, we had at least one family attend worship and speak of wanting to begin to participate in other activities that are offered at 1st UMC Crowley. The dad said that he is from a different denomination but he sees all that is happening for children in this church and with two elementary aged childen, he wants them to have a church home.

As  Wecoming Congregation, we hope that the experience of the scouting program along with our friendly atmosphere will help this family on their spiritual journey.
