Our Vacation Bible School was held this past week--BABYLON, Daniel in Captivity. We have found that three days works for us and a celebration service on the following Sunday worship. In our area we are in competition with other children's activities in the community. So the three middle days keeps the same children coming back each night. Amazingly, the children were able to learn a number of songs with just 20 minutes each night for music. We use a video of people singing and putting motions to the words and music. They loved it! The pastor acted out the part of Daniel. We had a puppet which the children all love. It's amazing how they can communicate with a PUPPET! We served a meal at the beginning and did not have a refreshment time, only something to drink after recreation. This may not be at all new to many people. Just thought I'd share what worked for us.
