Concert in the Park

The Concert in the Park is a series of events held every Sunday afternoon throughout the summer at Firestone Park in Columbiana. These concerts are sponsored by various groups within the area in an effort to provide summer entertainment for the community.  For the past two years, East Fairfield UMC has sponsored one of these concerts.  This year, we sponsored "Silver and Gold," which is a musical duet by two members of our congregation.  In addition to the music, we handed out free homemade ice cream, as well as a brochure that had information about our church and included an opportunity for mission outreach to area food banks, etc.  We did not get an exact count, but estimated the crowd to be about 150.  It was a worthwhile afternoon and an opportunity for our church to take part in strengehening our presence within the Columbiana community.
