Bread Sunday

On the first Sunday of Advent, members of the Palmyra congregation brought various home-baked and purchased breads to the altar table. All were blessed, and following worship the congregation was invited to take a loaf and make an offering for missions. The remaining loaves were wrapped, tagged "A gift for you from your neighbors of the United Mehodist Church" and delivered around town. Some went to persons with specials needs but a number went to neighbors not known to church members. All were warmly received with thanks.
