Sweet Singles Dinner

RE: SIngles Ministry.

Three years ago we reached out to folks that are living life alone. Some, because their spouse is deceased, others due to other circumstances. After invitions through newspapers, e-mails, and automated telephone messages, we started receiving calls for reservations. Local support groups that already exist for singles to meet other singles are looking for venues, Christian and secular.

What started out to be a widows/wwidowers dinner & concert venue, with a "Tour of Italy" theme, has blossomed into a viable ministry that the Lord has provided. The venue continues to grow each year. The age groups vary. This year, as usual, we had mostly the 50 to 70 year olds, a few 40 somethings, and amazingly this year, 4 late 20's. While talking with the 2 of the 20 year olds, I discovered they were both looking to start anew after several years of prodical living.

God is so good and desires that no one be lost.

PS> Our 4th Sunday monthly Gospel Concert series is flourishing. A mini sermon and scripture during the break, and fellowship afterwards. Attendance is rivaling our Sunday morning worship and is attended mostly by people in the surrounding communities.
