Raising community awareness for church foodbank

The Andover school district hosted the first annual April Fool's 5K and Fun Run to benefit the Summer Lunch Program run by our church foodbank. Participants were asked to bring specific food items to donate. This also helped to "get the word out" about our program which many in the community did not know existed. The Andover United Methodist Church is striving to help alleviate the struggle families face to feed their children, which is felt more dramatically during the summer months. The Summer Lunch Program is open to any child of any age in the Andover School District who needs a lunch provided during the summer months.
